We have been awarded a set of unique Qualmark ratings after our recent reassessment. The hotel is now both a 4 star hotel (Ocean View Wing) and a 2+ star hotel (Driftwood Wing). Travel industry agents from around New Zealand recently enjoyed race day at the Kumara Gold Nuggets. The race day is an historic event and draws large crowds, with the top prize an actual gold nugget. Beachfront Hotel, other local hotels and Mainstay NZ Hotels played host to the visiting agents, giving them the opportunity to experience an exciting West Coast tourism event.
