Overall, this is the nicest property we stayed at during our trip to the South Island. We were so impressed with the hotel and cool little town of Hokitika we actually stayed an extra night.
Stayed in the penthouse this time for our anniversary and loved it. Absolutely beautifully polished room, with a great lounge on the town side and unparalleled views of the beach in the bedroom.
Check in was quick and friendly with directions given to my room, located in the Oceanview block. My room was on the second floor, the block having 3 floors, and also a penthouse on top. Probably the tallest building in Hoki! Beautiful views from the room to the beach.
